The building is formed of a basement, a ground floor and the first floor, displaying three facades looking onto Tipografilor, Gh. Lazăr and Cetăţii streets. The main façade looks onto Tipografilor Street and is structured on seven lines. The four-ridged, two-stepped gabled roof has a pronounced gutter.
The building was erected in 1879 by the Trading Clerks Association with the purpose of hosting its offices. The Association functioned here until World War I.
